I use a platform called Patreon to give my poetry reader members and fiction reader members free ebooks, exclusives and other bonuses, as well as involvement in my creative process.
If you haven't heard of Patreon, it's a platform that allows followers or fans (like you!) to become “patrons” by making a regular, small payment to creators (like me!).
In return, you get exclusive content, community and closer connection. As a reader patron:
- First to read my new writing. I post an exclusive e-book for my patrons every month.
- Help me to develop aspects of my books. My patrons offer comments and feedback that often influence the direction of my books.
- Named on this website and in my book acknowledgements. I acknowledge all contributing reader members in my credits.
Patrons have always been important to writers and artists, and mine are so important to me. In the past, you had to be wealthy to support the arts but my monthly memberships start at just $2 a month.
