Week 37: Amazon Academy. What Are You Creating in Your Creative Business This Week?

What are you creating in your business this week? I’m off to Wales for Amazon Academy tomorrow with some other indie authors, including LJ Ross and Mark Dawson will be on hand to offer guidance and advice to ambitious authors and tell them about ALLi (The Alliance of Independent Authors).

The free event is open to everyone and is part of a broader Amazon Academy event aimed at Small and Medium Sized businesses, which I’ll be interested to catch up with too, as I’m hugely interested in how other creativepreneurs are using the same digital techniques and tools as indie author to increase their influence and impact.

And every business is now also in the publishing business.

ALLi always recommends that authors should use KDP, as it allows them to reach a potential audience of millions, in ebook and in print while retaining their copyrights, keeping freedom and control, distributing globally, and getting to readers fast.

Hundreds of thousands of authors around the world are now earning a living through KDP and similar platforms.

Tomorrow, in addition to insight on “how to write a bestseller”, we’ll be looking best practice for publishing books in ebook and POD via KDP

If you should, by any chance, happen to be in Wales you can still get a ticket today here.

And for those who can’t, the event will be live-streamed on Amazon’s Facebook Page.

What about you? What’s on the creative cards for you this week? I’d love to hear what you’re up to and you can share your intentions in our closed Facebook group here.

If you enjoyed this post, please let me know on my Facebook page or via Twitter. And… if you have some likeminded friends, I’d love for you to share it with them. Thank you!
