First thing this morning
what do I spy
over the houses
between the trees
through the cloud

and by gift
of fractured
light

seven strips of color
in an upside-down
smile
adorning the sky?

For me, a poem is a key, unlocking a moment in time and revealing the creative depths that every moment holds. Poetry brings us to creative presence.
