Creative Monday Motivator: What Are You Creating This week?

This is your weekly reminder to take time today to plan your week around  what’s most important to you. Don’t let the distractions of the outer world drag you away from what you most want to make with your life.

This week, I’ve been creating more and better downtime as work moves into its autumn upscale, which always happens at this time of year. More creative work means getting more creative, intentional rest and play.

Otherwise the delicate equilibrium between leaping in, lightening up and letting go that we creatives and creativists call balance disintegrates. Result: stress. Forgetting that creating each moment is the heart and soul of what we do as creatives.

It’s a real challenge in our ever more noisy and distracted world to stay centered and focussed. I’ve discovered a new meditation app that’s been really helping me to do that: Insight Timer App.

It was introduced to me by the lovely Tom Evans, who’s going to be offering some meditation exercises at my upcoming workship in November.

The app, home to more than 25m meditators and rising, is the top free meditation appon the Android and Apple. After I’ve had a chance to search around, I’ll bring you the best meditations there for creative focus and flow.

In the meantime, you can check out Tom’s page on the app, which will certainly appear on that top hits list:  for some great meditations to get you into the zone.

And Inspiration Meditation audio is the “Book of The Month” for my first readers this month. You can get your copy here

What about you? What are you creating? I love to hear what you’re making.

Till next time,

Happy hatchings!

Each Monday I send a creative motivator email to creatives and creativists all over the world, to remind us to reconnect with what’s most important to us.
