How was your creative week? Here are my creative accomplishments log week 29 2019. You can share yours with us in our Facebook group here.
My creative intentions, as outlined in the Facebook group last Monday, were:
- MAKER: Quarterly Planner final illustrations are in. I hope to sign off on this one this week. Wearing my maker hat, I’m also working on poetry audiobooks. I have six pamphlets and a collection to work through by month’s end.
- MANAGER: We are setting up affiliate payments on the Conference site for those who want to spread the word.
- MARKETER: A new marketing plan for each of my four book categories: fiction, poetry (including Patreon), author guides and Go Creative! books — complete with social media and advertising plans. Phew!
Here’s what I actually achieved:
MAKER: I’m not quite signed off on the Quarterly Planner yet. Designer has gone to a hen party in Wales… hope she emerges intact! Audiobook work proceeds slowly. Commissioned some new designs for Flow practic group and Go Creative! in Business Group.
MANAGER: Affiliate payment enquiry revealed tech problems with the transaction cart. Tested those with Sarah.
MARKETER: Marketing plan is complete and has revealed the need for two free offers to readers: one a perma-free which will then point to a lead magnet for email sign-ups. On that now.
What about you, how was your creative week? What did you produce, process or promote in your creative business?
In our Go Creative! in Business group, each Monday we outline our creative intentions to each other. And then we follow up on a Saturday with what we’ve actually accomplished during the week. What’s unique about our group is that our report is given under the three hats a creative entrepreneur must wear: that of Maker (who produces), Manager (who processes) and Marketer (who promotes).
