The Irish Times has put together a list of the best fiction about the war of independence, which was reaching a truce 100 years ago this week.

I would definitely include a few more. Roddy Doyle's A Star called Henry. The End of the Hunt by Thomas Flanagan. 1921 by Morgan LLwellyn (even though her publishers have bizarrely dubbed it “Ireland Civil War”).
