I've so many books close to being finished that need me to push them through and over the line. Truth is, I've been struggling with the finishing phase of the writing process and driving myself a little nuts.
So I'm deciding to get proactive instead of passive nutty, and set myself a crazy creative challenge for 2016.
Okay, deep breath… ready….
To publish a book a month for the next eleven months
Now to be clear, I'm not completely nuts. And these are not thrown off in three weeks and hardly long enough to be called an article never mind a book that you find on Amazon these days. These are full length, long pondered, much edited works.
I've been working on many of them for a very long time. One or two of them have even been been published before but in a different edition. All are now in various stages of readiness and need pushing across the line.
So here goes:
January: How Authors Sell Publishing Rights ( non-fiction, author guide with Helen Sedwick)
February: Her Secret Rose (fiction, book 1, Yeats trilogy)
March: Go Creative! It's Your Native State (Go Creative! Process Book)
April: How To Create Anything (Go Creative! Process Book)
May: F-R-E-E-Writing (Go Creative! Practice Book)
June: F-R-E-E-Writing Notebook (Go Creative! Practice Book)
July: Creating Money, Creating Meaning (Go Creative! Process Book)
August: Inspiration Meditation (2nd edition) (Go Creative! Practice Book)
September: Inspiration Meditation Audio (accompanying audio to IM book)
October: A Child Dancing (novel: 2nd book of Yeats trilogy)
November: But A Dream (novel: final book of Yeats trilogy)
And in December…. a rest!
This is one of the reasons I love self-publishing, no trade-publisher would ever have room for anything like this. And I know that, as always, I'll need support from the creative gods if I'm to make it happen.
Wish me luck…
